![]() It is home to more than 50,000 people, but is a place where one feels a sense of belonging. Havertown is a mere 20 minutes outside of Philadelphia, and has been my home for my entire life. Whether one should live in a suburb or a city has been speculated for some time, and although I once dreamed of life in an urban city, it is the suburbs that I now choose to call home. Luckily, it was my mother’s hand that would squeeze mine tightly as we walked, bringing me back to reality. ![]() ![]() I can remember visiting the city as a little girl, overwhelmed in the daydreams of being a part of that beautiful chaos, and becoming lost in it. Having been born and raised in Havertown, a suburb of Philadelphia, I have always been aware of Philadelphia’s historical significance, and upmost popularity.Īs a child, I imagined living in the city, with its fast paced lifestyle, full of traffic and diverse people. Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, may be the city that bore our Constitution, and the city known for the greatest cheese steaks and soft pretzels, but to me that’s all it is, a city. ![]()
